Based in Mumbai, Ajay brings with him more than 20 years of international experience in private capital & infrastructure investment, fund-raise, stressed-asset situations in India, renewable energy, corporate finance, portfolio management and business strategy in India and Canada. Working with leading global investment firms, he has sourced, invested and managed transactions in core infrastructure sectors like energy and transportation globally.

Currently, he’s the Senior Advisor to Corio Generation, and as founder of Indusbridge Capital, he has worked with select global investment firms/ developers, including the Macquarie Group as CEO for its sponsored Blue Leaf Energy India renewables utility scale business; Brookfield Asset Management; TPG; Hastings Infrastructure, Vinci Energie et al focusing on infrastructure investments and renewable energy development.

Earlier, as Head of India Infrastructure, Ajay led the SNC-Lavalin Inc sponsored India infrastructure fund initiative. He was previously the founding Principal of c.US$1bn India Infrastructure Fund (“IIF”), sponsored by IDFC and Citigroup. He played key role in raising capital commitments for the IIF, especially from the North American and the European investors, and led initial investments for the IIF. Before returning to India, he worked with the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan
in Toronto, Canada.

He has an MBA degree from Queen’s School of Business, Canada, where he was selected for the Dean’s Honor List. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from St. Stephen's College, India.

He has written for and interviewed by key global publications like Bloomberg, PEI-Infrastructure Investor, InfraPPP, invited as guest features. He’s represented and spoken at several industry and government forums like the G20 energy transition group, MNRE, TransFin, PEI, World Economic Forum, Canada-India Business Council, AVCJ, IVCA et al. He’s also a member of the Working Group for the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).
