Dr. Rajesh Katyal has over 32 years’ experience in Wind Variability Studies both in flat and complex terrains with special emphasis to wind sensitive structures. He possess Ph.D Doctoral degree in "Wind Variability Analysis and Shape Optimization in Wind Sensitive Structures". Presently, he is Director General at National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. Served as a Member of Technical Committee in preparation of Indian Wind Atlas, Grid Code for Wind Energy, instrumental in establishing First Offshore Structure for mounting LiDAR and performance enhancement of wind turbine components and sub-assemblies, hybrid systems for remote rural applications and Testing of Small Wind Turbines/Aero-generators. He is also a member in the Working Group for "Examining the feasibility for Offshore Wind Resource Assessment". He has published various papers in International and National Journals and Seminars of repute.
